Thomas M. Roe, age 61 of Kalamazoo, died surrounded by family on November 6, 2024. He was born on July 5, 1963 in Kalamazoo, the son of Allan and Clara (Anson) Roe. Tom was a 1981 graduate of Portage Northern High School. He worked in the durable medical equipment field for 30 years, ending his career as Branch Manager for CareLinc Medical Equipment.
Tom was an avid golfer and loved playing in a league at the Prairies with his son, Tommy. Tom married Tina Vaughn on October 22, 2022. Tom enjoyed many wonderful trips in the last few years, and he had looked forward to more traveling.
He loved driving his GMC truck, listening to his favorite music. Tom was a die-hard Detroit and Michigan fan. He would wear his favorite sports attire, and shout, "Go Blue!" wherever he went.
He developed a love of the Florida coast and was contemplating his retirement there. He enjoyed going out on Friday nights and hanging with his friends. Tom had a soft spot for dogs and his dog, Shadow was his baby.
His family includes his wife, Tina Roe; his son Tommy (Katlyn Bienz); his stepchildren: Jacqueline (Matthew) Bromagin, Jeremy (Lindsay) Bryant and Jodi (Brad) Drake; his granddaughters: Charlotte Roe and Lucille Roe; his step grandchildren: Christian Bryant, Baron Drake and Jade Drake; his brother Robert (Gail) Roe and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother John Roe.
Friends may gather with Tom's family on Monday, November 11th, from 5:00-7:00PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Location, 3926 S. 9th Street Kalamazoo, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Mt Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South.
Donations in memory of Tom may be made out to the Kalamazoo SPCA.
