Died tragically on June 8, 2024, beloved son of Heather Van Elk and Steven Ross, dearest brother of AJ Ross, loving grandson of Dave and Kim Van Elk, Patricia Ross-Currier and Mike Currier and the late Anthony Ross, great grandson of Shari Stevens, adored nephew to Colleen (John) Roy, Hannah (Bert Edwards) Van Elk and Misse Ross, also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. A private celebration of life will be held at the request of the family. Dear Family of Thomas,
We´ve never met, but I have a 9 year old girl that attends Big Tree Elementary. And as a mother, I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you must feel, as I myself have cried for Thomas. Please know that the whole community is grieving Thomas´ loss along with you, and please know that he will be with you always!

Thomas was the most special, well mannered, intelligent, and kind boy. Greeting him everyday in the lunch line brightened my entire day by how pleasant he was to talk to, I will forever cherish the moments of small interactions. To Tommy's Mom:
My heart breaks for you in this time of unimaginable loss. Though we've never met, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The pain you must be feeling is incomprehensible, and I wish I could ease it in some way.
We find solace in the belief that your precious child is now safe in the arms of Jesus. The Bible tells us that He loves the little ones dearly, and they find eternal peace in His embrace. Though the ache of separation is profound, take comfort in the hope that you will one day be reunited.
You are not alone in your grief. There are countless hearts around our community, including mine, that ache alongside yours. We are here, holding you in our thoughts and lifting you up in prayer, hoping that you find even the smallest measure of comfort in the midst of this darkness.
