Thomas Franklin Ross SR. (Tommy Ross), passed from this life on November 28, 2024, at the age of 82 at Baptist East Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1942, in Chattanooga, TN to the late Annie Lois Sledge & Franklin Thomas Ross. With Tommy being the eldest, he enjoyed his childhood with his siblings Charles, Patricia, Deborah, Cynthia, and Ronnie. Tommy graduated from Howard High School and attended Wayne State University in Detroit.
In the early 1960's Tommy found his home in Louisville, KY. In Louisville is where he met the love of his life, Annie Mildred Elliott and they have spent 45 wonderful years together. Tommy was an outgoing person who never met a stranger, which can be shown from his years of service at Transit Authority of River City (TARC) from which he retired. Tommy has a passion for music with the sounds of MoTown The Temptations being at the top!
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Sledge and Franklin Ross, and his son, Albert Smiley.
To cherish his memories, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Annie Mildred Ross; his children, Trudy Shelley (Archie), JoMiko Ross Sr., Thomas "Tommy" Ross Jr. (Lattaya), Shelia Elliott, Sandra Elliott, and Milton Elliott; his siblings, Charles, Patricia, Deborah, Cynthia (Joe), and Ronnie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Mr. Tommy Ross will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM, at the funeral home. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow the funeral service.
