Thomas Stephen Ross Sr.

Thomas Stephen Ross Sr. of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 66 years old. He was born in Union Beach, New Jersey, the son of Bob and Joan Ross.

Known as Tom to friends and family, he moved to Cape Coral several years ago from Kennesaw, Georgia after retiring as a restaurant manager. He received a full academic scholarship to Rutger's University where he graduated with high honors, majoring in philosophy and minoring in physics. Tom was an avid baseball fan, a captivating writer (self-publishing critique for video games and movies until the time of his passing) and a caring father and friend. His sharp sense of wit, unparalleled work ethic, mischievous humor, and amazing compassion will live on in his family.

Tom is survived by his mother: Joan Ross; his son: Thomas S. Ross Jr. (and his wife Erin Coughlin); his daughter: Nicole Ross; his brothers: Rob Ross (and his wife Jenni Lucas-Ross) and Doug Ross; his sister: Jen Flatley (and her husband Brian); and two grandchildren: Molly Ross and Charlie Ross, who lovingly called Tom "Funpa".
