Thomas Sawyers Obituary
Born in Lincoln County to the late Joe Virgil and Lela Jones Sawyers, Thomas was a man of quiet strength and profound kindness. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in the Philippines. Known for his generous spirit, Thomas was a friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by his children: Kimberly (Scott) Sawyers, Jeffrey Sawyers, Brian Sawyers, Jennifer Sullivan, and Francis Marie Steele; his brother, Billy "Bobby" (Rosalie) Sawyers; and a legacy of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Wanda Hudson, Sadie Garrett, Virgil Sawyers, Larry Sawyers, Betty Gordon, Brenda Cowart.
