Thomas (Tom) Schillinger was born on March 22, 1960, and was lovingly chosen by the Schillinger family - George and Marie Schillinger (Konstanzer) along with his brother Joseph Schillinger (Colleen). He passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 65.

A talented and hardworking landscape artist, Tom brought beauty into the world not only through his craft but also through his kindness and humor. He had a deep love for classic rock music and could often be found enjoying a good movie or air drumming along to one of his favorite songs. Summers at Long Beach Island held a special place in his heart, where he learned to surf and created countless cherished memories with family and friends.

Tom treasured family vacations, and any time spent with those he loved most. His warmth, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Throughout his long battle with scleroderma and cardiomyopathy, Tom's strength and resilience were on display. He remained eternally grateful for his organ donor.

Tom's wife, Chrissie, was his greatest source of strength, comfort, and joy. Her devotion, care, and unconditional love not only supported Tom through the most challenging times but also brought light, laughter, and dignity to his daily life. Her presence truly enriched Tom's journey, allowing him to continue doing the things he loved and to share precious moments with family and friends. Tom has finally found peace, free from all earthly struggles.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Schillinger (Gould); his children, Jessica, Connor & Thomas & son-in-law Jacob and many dear cousins who will forever hold his memory close.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom's life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at The Schetter Funeral Home, 304 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002, with visitation from 9:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a brief service from 11:00–11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be held immediately after at Il Villaggio in Cherry Hill.

Tom had a lifelong love of wildlife and animals, especially his dogs, who brought him great comfort and companionship throughout his life. To honor this part of Tom's spirit, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, an organization whose mission Tom deeply admired. Tom will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, courage, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.

As a fellow West grad I am sad to hear of this young death and grateful to have been introduced here to such a fine man. I hope all his friends and family enjoy sweet memories forever.

I was introduced to Tom through my work with his wonderful wife Chrissy. I watched as he battled through a series of difficult medical conditions that most of us cannot fathom. His strength and love for his family provided the energy to beat the odds, see his children grow to adulthood and to be there for Chrissy. Although there will always be a hole in your heart that hole will eventually fill with wonderful memories. Godspeed Tom.
