Thomas F. Schneider, age 78, of Fort Wright, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026. He is survived by his loving sister, Carol R. Smith (Ronald); nieces and nephews, Maria C. Finke (Jeff), Tony Smith (Misty) and Mark Smith (Lisa); 8 great-nieces and nephews and 9 great-great-nieces and nephews. He was also a special friend to Michelle Joseph, Jessica Joseph, and Derek Joseph. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Celeste Schneider; sisters, Eileen Schneider and Mary Lou Schneider.

He was a graduate of Covington Catholic, Thomas More College, Xavier University and the FBI Academy. He was an Army Veteran serving stateside during the Vietnam War. He was a teacher at St. Augustine School. He then worked in all 4 divisions of the Covington Police Department: Patrol, Service, Investigation, and Administration. He retired as the Lead Supervisor for the US Marshal Service Court Security at the Covington Federal Courthouse.

He was a devoted Catholic, enjoyed time with family and friends, baseball, football, golf, walking, and his pet dogs.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 6th, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Mother of God Church at 12:05 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in the form of Catholic Masses in Tom’s name.
