Thomas W. "Pop" Seay

Thomas W. Seay Jr. "Pop" (89), born April 12, 1936, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Ruth Finck Seay.
Tom attended St. Cecilia Grade School and was also a proud graduate of Flaget High School, Class of 1953. After graduation, he joined the Air National Guard, where he retired after 41 years of service. Following retirement, he filled his time working for Republic Diesel. In his early years, Tom was a talented softball player, playing for several local teams.
Later in life, Tom traded his bat for golf clubs. He spent much time at Cherokee Golf Club. He also enjoyed coaching his children in various sports throughout the years and was an avid supporter of all his grandchildren's sporting events.
Tom's greatest love was his family. He is survived by his siblings: Mike Seay and Martha Lurker; his children: Deborah Storch (Marty), Diane Wiehe (Greg), Brian Seay (Lynn), and Karen Lotz (Jeff); his grandchildren: Jessica Phelps (Zack), Leah Stowe (Luke), Alan Wiehe, Jared Seay (Piper), Alexis Seay, Ryan Lotz, and Collin Lotz; his great-grandchildren: Liam and Bernie Stowe, and Ruth Ann Phelps; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family at Check's Cafe.
Tom was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Church, the MOSS Club, St. John Benevolent Society, the American Legion, American Turners, and the Flaget Alumni Association.
A funeral Mass for Tom will be celebrated at St. Stephen Martyr Church on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 10:00AM. His visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues from 3:00PM to 8:00PM.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor in lieu of flowers.
