Thomas Gordon Sheehan

Thomas Gordon Sheehan, 74, of Hayward, California and formerly of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, and Miami Shores, Florida, passed peacefully on August 22, 2025. With the love and support of his family and friends, Thomas braved health challenges for several years. Tom was baptized in Falmouth, Ky at St. Francis Xavier Parish which was his grandparents, John and Lauretta Sheehan, attended.
Thomas was a 1964 graduate of St. Thomas Elementary School in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He graduated from Saint Joseph Preparatory School in Bardstown, Kentucky in 1968 and attained an Associate of Arts degree from Miami-Dade Junior College in 1973.
Thomas was preceded in death by his life partner, Lilianna Perry, by his parents, Dr. James G. Sheehan and Mrs. Patricia Anne Thomson Sheehan and his youngest sister, Susan Patricia Sheehan Devlin.
Thomas was the middle child of nine children. Surviving to cherish his memory are his siblings, Mary Michele, James M. (Kathleen), John G. (Sarah), Daniel (Patricia), Jeanne Frech (Timothy, dec.), Anne Marie Sims (John), and Maureen Heffernan (Arthur) and more than 40 first cousins, many nieces and nephews, both in the US and Ireland and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 202 Second St., Falmouth, KY, with the Very Rev. Britton Hennessey officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10-11 am at the church prior to mass.Following the mass, the inurnment will take place at the graveside of Thomas's parents at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth, Kentucky.
