Thomas Snider

Thomas "Tom" Snider, 93, passed away on July 1, 2025. Born December 31, 1931, in Toledo to Kennard and Margaret (Maginn) Snider, Tom was a kind and loving man whose life was marked by simplicity, routine, and a quiet devotion to those he loved. He was always willing to lend a hand and never missed a chance to check in with a phone call or share a meal with family.
Tom retired in 1996 after a long career as a tool and die maker. He was married to his beloved wife, Sue, for nearly 40 years. A lifelong and devoted Detroit Tigers fan, he rarely missed a game and took great joy in following the team through every season. He also enjoyed watching golf on TV, tinkering in his workshop, and meeting up with friends each week at Tim Hortons and McDonald's.
His favorites were chicken strips and iced coffee, but what mattered most to him was time with those he loved. His family will especially miss his daily calls and regular lunches that were as dependable as they were meaningful.
Thomas is survived by his children, Chris (Brian) Green, Cathy (Mike) Hughes, Mike Heath, Gretchen (Ed) Hawk, and Jenny (Keith) Fahle; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Czupich, Andy (Jimmy) Krieg, Kevin (Lori) Green, Nicole Green, Jen (Tim) Barker, Jessica (Kelly) Robson, and Ron Hawk; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., where a service will begin at 7 p.m.
