Thomas F. Snyder, 80, of Bushkill Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Becky S. Snyder (Baltz) to whom he was married to for 59 years. Born in Easton, Thomas was a son of the late Henry and Helen Snyder (Werkheiser).
Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman who found joy in the outdoors and music alike, especially while playing the keyboard. A proud graduate of Wilson Area High School, Class of 1963, he went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps and remained a dedicated member of the U.S.M.C. Vietnam Tankers Association. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Teamsters Union, and was active in the Belfast Rod & Gun Club. His love for conservation and wildlife led him to serve part-time as a Pennsylvania Deputy Game Warden. He was also a faithful member of St. John's UCC, Nazareth.
In the mid-1950s, he and his entire family shared many meaningful years as members of the Palmer Township Junior Drum and Bugle Corps, where he played the tenor drum-a cherished and formative chapter of his life that created lifelong memories and lasting bonds.
In later years, he especially enjoyed grilling dinners for his family on the back porch, sharing his love of fishing and passing along lessons to his grandsons, and proudly celebrating their athletic achievements and military service.
In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Jill M. Stehle (Wayne) of Walnutport and Jacki Faust (Keith) of Nazareth; grandsons: Andrew VanHorn, Thomas VanHorn, Todd Mahady and Kyle Mahady; siblings: Marie Christman of Raeford, NC, Sharon Snyder of Reading, PA and Richard Snyder of Easton, PA.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2165 Community Drive - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and Relatives are invited to a viewing on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hope Cemetery - Hecktown.
