Thomas J. Stack Jr.

Thomas J. Stack, Jr., CPA, age 70, of Western Springs & formerly of Beverly, peacefully at home on January 30, 2025. Loving brother of Mary Alice (Dan) Reilly, Martin M. (Sherry), & Kathleen (Tim) Considine; cherished son of the late Thomas J. Stack, Sr. & the late Alice P. Stack (née Morgan); proud uncle of Hannah, Madeline, & Meredith (Sam) Wacker ; dear great-uncle of Maeve & Walter.
Tom was a proud graduate of Christ the King Grammar School, Class of 1969 and Brother Rice High School, Class of 1973. He went on to attend DePaul University in Chicago, graduating with an Accounting degree in 1977. Tom had a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant; he began his own business, Thomas J. Stack, Jr., LTD. in 1984. He was a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ledger and Quill Society of DePaul University. Tom served as a board member of DePaul University's President's Club, Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry, & Haymarket Center. He had a long history with Haymarket Center as a volunteer in addition to his role as a Board Member. Tom's great-uncle, Monsignor Ignatius McDermott, was the founder of the organization.
Tom was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and Northwestern football.
Visitation 2 to 8pm on Friday, February 7th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Continued visitation from 10am until time of 11am Funeral Mass Saturday, February 8th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 9235 S. Hamilton Avenue, Chicago, IL 60643. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
