Kent Stephens
Thomas Kenneth “Kent” Stephens, husband of the late Oneda “Boots” Stephens, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Sam and Irene Craig Stephens.
Kent retired from Fort Hil Natural Gas Authority after 26 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, he joined the board of directors for Fort Hill. He was a 63-year member of the Bates Masonic Lodge #189 A.F.M in Easley and was a member of McKissick Memorial Methodist Church and attended Jones Avenue Baptist Church. He loved his family and especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the piano and singing. He enlisted in the US Navy Hospital Corpsman at 14 years of age and proudly served his country during WWII.
Surviving are his daughters, Kenna Stephens Day (Michael), and Pamela Stephens Hanner (Michael), all of Easley; grandchildren, Brandon Hammond (Angie), Stephen Hammond (Hannah), Danielle Hanner (Randell Walker), Michael Stephen Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Jansen Hammond, Noble Grace Hammond, Cameron Hammond, Bentley Hanner, Ryan Walker and Raelyn Walker; and a sister, Nancy McElhannon of Easley.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by six siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 2:50 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Foundation at 226 Tradition Club Drive, Pawleys Island, SC 29585 or The Bates Masonic Lodge #189 A.F.M. at PO Box 1125, Easley, SC 29641.
