Thomas Strobel Tom was born on August 20, 1929 in St. Paul and passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025 surrounded by his family. Proceeded in death by son-in-law Terrence O'Grady Jr, sister Betty Hutton, brother Dick Strobel, and parents Casper and Elizabeth Strobel. Survived by Annelies Strobel, his loving wife of 65 years, and three children, Katherine (O'Grady), Steven (Shannon), and Jeffrey (Norine), 8 grandchildren Benjamin (Ashley), David (Taylor), Zachary (Gina), Victoria (Neil), Jake (Mallory), Samuel (Mandy), Carolyne (George), Peter (Gracie), 8 adoring great-grandchildren, sister Mary McGrath, and many more.
Tom graduated from Cretin High School and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Brown & Bigelow, the Pioneer Press, and after a long career at 3M, enjoyed a 38 year retirement.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday Oct. 14, 2025 at St Mary of the Lake 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
