Thomas Strussion, 76, of Bellaire, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the WVU Medicine-Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born July 16, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Alphonse and Adelina (Devendra) Strussion.
Tom was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio. He was well known for his florist shop, Strussion & Son Florist, and enjoyed working along side his wife, Linda, at the family business. Tom's laughter was contagious and his heart was big for everyone he would stop to chat with, share a story, a hug or advice, whether you were a long time friend or new acquaintance. His passion was cooking and his love for his family was immense. His grandkids were his world. The scent of his signature cigar will never be forgotten.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Steed) Strussion, sons, Christopher Strussion, Thomas Strussion, daughters-in-law, Amy Jo Lipperman Strussion, Angela Strussion.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa (Chris) Balog of Bellaire, Ohio, grandchildren, Brooke (Jim) Balsei, Taylor (Charles) Strussion both of Columbus, Ohio, Rocco, Lindsay, and Cassie Balog all of Bellaire, Ohio, great-grandson Greyson Balsei, sister, Donna Abrams of Oregon, brother, Ronald (Barbara) Strussion of Mulberry, Florida, several nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Bella.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm where Funeral Liturgy will take place at 6:00pm with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant.
