Thomas Roy "Tommy" Tallent

Thomas Roy Tallent, 82, of Temple passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. He was born on April 2, 1943, the son of the late Archie Tallent and the late Roberta Williams Tallent.
Tommy lived a life of profound faith and unwavering love for his family, which meant the world to him. He approached life selflessly, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a proud United States Army veteran, where Tommy served his country with honor. His commitment to service extended far beyond his military experience; he was a dedicated deacon at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, where he shared his spiritual convictions and served his community faithfully.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Louise Robinson Tallent; daughter Sharon Nicole Tallent; brother, Ronnie Tallent; sisters, June White and Jeanette Hamel.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Nina Tallent, Jeff and Johanna Tallent and Pastor Shae and Tabiatha Tallent all of Temple; sister, Charlotte Ray of New Georgia; brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Lynda Tallent of Adairsville, Kenny Tallent of Villa Rica; sister-in-law, Mary Dodd; grandchildren, Zach (Kelly) Tallent, Cole (Nicole) Tallent, Michaela (Jake) Herrell, Jameson Yates, Will Tallent, Annabelle Leigh (Will) Donahue, Blake (Alanah) Tallent, Brooke (Zachary) Smolinski, Thomas Tallent, Logan (Lauren) Dodd, Sammie Jo Dodd, Eli Dodd (fiancé, Kylee Vietch), Emma Dodd, and Chris Yates; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Ella Rose, Suzanna, Rosemary, Maddie Grace, Jeb, Judah, Isaac, Alivia, Addison, Easton, Everleigh, and Josephine; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel with Pastor Shae Tallent and Pastor Eddie Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park.
Tommy was known for his loving spirit and generous nature. He leaves behind a legacy of commitment to family and faith that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth and compassion touched countless lives, making him a cherished figure in the hearts of friends and family alike. While he has departed from this world, his influence and example will continue to inspire those he loved and cared for deeply.
