Thomas Talley Obituary

Thomas Scott Talley died on Nov. 17, 2023, in Loveland, Colo. He cared deeply about the world's society, pained for those suffering, and loved Jesus.
Scott was born on Oct. 22, 1972, in Denver, Colo., to Tom and Pam Talley. He grew up in Denver and earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University.
An avid outdoorsman, Scott cherished living on the plains of Northern Colorado, facing the Rocky Mountains. There, he and the family's pure-bred Havanese dogs enjoyed long walks and working with the farm animals. Scott loved to ski, rock climb, and play golf.
Scott's passion for the outdoors spanned the globe with long trips trekking Down Under through the Outback in Australia and touring through Turkey and Greece. He also repeatedly traveled to South Korea to visit his parents, who lived and taught there for five years. Other destinations included Dubai, Wales, and Thailand. He was an advanced certified diver and proudly dove the Great Barrier Reef and off the coast of Thailand, among other scenic locations.
Scott's legacy lives on thanks to his choice to be an organ donor – his gifts already have saved lives. The family is grateful for the team at Colorado's Donor Alliance and the caring and attentive medical staff at Banner McKee Hospital in Loveland.
Scott is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Neil Talley. Survivors include his mother: Pamela Talley; brother: Chris Talley and his wife Laura; Nieces and Nephews: Michael Talley and Megan Goodnight, Megan and Jacob Harrington, and Caroline and Cort Jaquess. Scott also recently became a great uncle to Camille Grace Jaquess and Reese Marie Harrington.
A service honoring Scott and his faith in Jesus is set for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4, 2023, at the family's long-time church, South Fellowship, in Denver.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Scott's name to one of the following nonprofit organizations: The Pines Ranch, Donor Alliance, or NOCO Humane Society.

Scott & I worked together in Austin, Texas. We also spent some time together outside of work and he was the sweetest, kindest, & loveliest of people. I was being nostalgic and looked him up today, and saw he was gone. He was an amazing human and this world was brighter with Scott in it.
