Thomas Wayne Thompson, Sr.

Thomas Wayne Thompson, Sr., fondly known as Wild T and Pops, has left us at the age of 61 on December 13, 2025, in his hometown of Ravenna, Ohio. Born on May 10, 1964, Thomas was a career painter and made a name for himself with a brush in hand and a big smile on his face. He was the kind of guy who believed he was still 20 years old, right up until the end, which is quite a feat, let me tell ya!

Anyone who knew Thomas would agree he was an outgoing fellow who loved to entertain. Known for his funny antics and as the class clown, it was no surprise that he was always the life of the party. He had a wild side, too! I mean, the man would pop wheelies on a motorcycle like it was nobody’s business. Can you believe that? It certainly made for some exciting memories for those who were lucky enough to witness it.

He had a real zest for life and was passionate about music. Thomas often told folks, "if it's too loud, you're too old," which pretty much summed up his youthful spirit right there.

His proudest accomplishments, without a doubt, were his kids and grandkids. He cherished his family more than anything. He leaves behind his beloved children, Michelle (Jesse) Brown, Thomas Thompson Jr., and Katherine (Ryan) Henninger. His legacy carries on through his adoring grandchildren—Marqis, Shay'Lynn, Nathaniel, Thomas III, Lainey Emma, Tobias Bocephus, Rayne Millie Ann, Rylieh, Emily, and Harper. That's quite the crew he's got, huh?

In terms of family, he had some siblings: Kenneth (Nancy) Thompson Jr., James (Janie) Thompson Sr., and Terry Thompson. They all have their own stories I’m sure, but today we’re focusing on Thomas.

Now, looking back, you can't forget about the folks who raised him either. His parents, Kenneth Sr. and Mildred Thompson, and two of his siblings, Phillip (Janet) Thompson, along with Kathryn Thompson, have all passed on before him. However, the memories they created together surely shaped the man he was.

So here we are, remembering Thomas Wayne Thompson, Sr. He was a unique character with a heart of gold, and he will definitely be missed by all who knew him. In the words of Thomas himself, "if it's too loud, you're too old," so crank up the music and let’s celebrate a life that was lived to the fullest!
