Thomas Tilson Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Tilson, 81 of Brevard, NC passed away on December 13, 2023.
He was born on July 24, 1942, to the late Claude and Fannie Stiwinter Tilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Lois Houston and Ola Holland and brothers Howard Tilson and Vernon Tilson.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Rebecca Chapman Tilson, daughters Laura (George) Owen and Stephanie (Chris) Watts. Grandchildren; Christian (Desi) Watts, Haley Watts, and Jackson Owen. Great grandchildren; Arabella and Keaton Lucas Watts, brothers; Ronnie (Nancy) Tilson and Randall (Peggy) Tilson, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members who he loved dearly.
He was a 1962 graduate of Brevard High School and retired from Ecusta. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, and friend.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Cathey’s Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Children’s Home of NC-BCH, P.O. Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361.
