Thomas “Tommy” Anthony Boney was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on February 27, 1960 to Elwood and Mercedes (Seymour) Boney.  Tommy was a gentle and humble man and had a positive impact on everyone he met.

Tommy was a life-long resident of Biloxi and graduated from Biloxi High School in 1978.  He married his high school sweetheart, Anita Delahousey, in 1981, recently celebrating their 43rd wedding anniversary surrounded by their children and grandchildren.  Tommy enjoyed an extended career with Landmark Contracting, recently retiring after 40 years.  He was a loyal servant and member of Blessed Francis Seelos Catholic Church (formerly St. Johns).  He was an altar server as a young “Back Bay” boy, member of the parish’s Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and went on to serve as a sacristan and dedicated parish member.  Tommy was also a proud recipient of the Lumen Christi (“Light of Christ”) medal presented to those who have been outstanding in their service in their parishes.   When not in church, he could be found at the baseball field or watching one of his grandson’s basketball games.  Tommy also supported Biloxi Little League for several years as a proud parent, coach, and League President devoted to the players and their families.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Lazaro and Bertha Boney; maternal grandparents, Adolph and Ethel Seymour; and brothers, Glen Boney and John Boney.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter, Stephanie (Delmas) Holley; son, Matthew (Tiersa) Boney; brothers, James (Carol) and Stephen (Sandra); sister-in law, Cathey Boney; sisters, Belinda (James) Corley and Janet Boney.  His grandchildren are his proudest legacy; Avery Thomas, Maddox Anthony, Bronson, Ellis and Dylan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church, 360 Lameuse Street in Biloxi on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 am preceded by visitation for friends from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.  Interment will be at the Biloxi Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at Blessed Seelos Parish Hall.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to Blessed Seelos Catholic Church.
