Thomas Torode Obituary
In 1970, Tom, Brenda and their family moved to Highland, Michigan, where they built their family home and established a gentleman's ranch. It was here that Tom indulged his passion for the outdoors, raising cattle and horses, including his beloved quarter horse Big Jet Breeze. He found joy in his tractors, antique cars, and spending time on the water boating. An avid fan of old country music, Tom always had a song playing that reflected his hardworking, down-to-earth spirit.
Tom was a man who loved his family deeply. His work ethic, kindness, and devotion to those he loved set an example for everyone who knew him. Whether he was caring for his animals, tinkering with his machines, or sharing stories with loved ones, Tom gave all of himself to his family and friends. His legacy of love, strength, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Brenda Torode; loving father of Theresa (Jimmy Cramar) Schulte, Cheryl (Scott) Mayette, and Meribeth (Greg) Trulu; proud grandfather of Tommy (Megan), Lauren and Elise; cherished great-grandfather of Reagan, and Lincoln.
Tom is preceded in passing by his parents Thomas Sr. and Mary Susan Torode, and siblings Bill (Betty) Torode, and Patricia (Al) Evans.
Visitation to take place on Thursday, March 13 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Highland, Michigan from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Mass at 11:00 AM. Procession to Highland Cemetery to follow where committal prayers and burial will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Michigan.
