Thomas F. Visconti

Our beloved brother, Thomas F. Visconti, 53, resident of West Milford, died tragically on December 23, 2023.
Born in Teaneck, Tommy was the son of Robert and Muriel "Mickie" Visconti (nee Earl). He grew up in Cliffside Park and was a graduate of St. Joseph's of the Palisades High School in West New York. Tommy began working as an apprentice with Local 25 Sheet Metal Workers Union where he remained, throughout his tin-knocking career. Tommy will be fondly remembered by his work buddies, not only for his exceptional skills in sheet metal work, but also for the warmth of his friendship and the guidance he generously shared.
Throughout his life, Tommy had a passion for maintaining and fixing his motorcycles and cars. Tommy also enjoyed camping trips, where he found serenity in the simplicity and beauty of being outdoors. Tommy's teddy bear persona and his infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Our brother gave us so many reasons to smile and was always willing to lend a hand. He is survived by his siblings, Barbara-Ann Rush, Mark Rush, Scott Rush and his wife Caterina, Eileen Rush and her wife Luisa Yu, Patrick Visconti and his wife Michelle, Dorian Alexander and her husband William and Matthew Visconti and his wife Francheska, his sister-in-law, Anne Rush along with many loving nieces and nephews. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, Muriel and Robert Visconti; and his brothers, Robert D. Rush and Robert Visconti Jr.
Memorial visitation will be held from 6-9 pm on Thursday, January 4 at Scanlan's Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. Burial will be held privately for the family.
