Thomas John Vumback Sr.

Thomas John Vumback, Sr., 81, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was married to Kathleen (Tetreault) Vumback, his childhood sweetheart, for 60 years and was the son of the late George Vumback and Olga (Batura) Vumback.
Tom graduated from Purdue University and was a Master Plumber with Local 777. He was with James T. Kay Company upon retirement and was an instructor for plumbing apprentices with United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, making wine and gardening. He especially loved to travel with Kathy. He was a UCONN men's and women's basketball fan.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas J. Vumback Jr; his daughter, Tara Fazzina and her husband John; his cherished grandchildren, Skylar and Kyra Vumback and Stephen and Rebecca Fazzina; his brother, George Vumback and his wife Manya; his sisters, Sheila Germain and Gina Maurizio and her husband Glen; and his brother-in-law, Edward Tetreault and his wife Jackie; and Pete Ruggerio. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Josephine Tetreault and brother-in-law, Lawrence Germain.
Family and friends are invited to call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450, on Saturday, July 12th from 1 to 3 p.m. A service will follow in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
