Thomas John Weir

Thomas John Weir was born March 10, 1946, in Maywood, CA, to the union of his parents, John David Weir and Arlene Fitzsimmons Weir, and he went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 8, 2023, in Columbia, LA. Thomas was a resident of Ojai, CA, but loved spending time in Louisiana with his beloved family. He had embraced the life of an outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting as often as he could. He was a retired Fire Captain with the Ventura County Fire Department, where he worked for almost 40 years. Thomas loved his Lord Jesus Christ and his family is comforted knowing he went to sleep in his bed and woke up in the arms of Jesus. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Weir.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Kathleen Rose Weir; his daughter, Gracie Shipp (Ricky); his son, Jesse Hedge; brother, Mike Weir; grandchildren: Brittany Fuzzell (Joey), Kelsie Monteilh (Nick), Taylor Brown, Jessica Ryan (Casey), Riley Shipp, Trevor Hedge, Jerica Hedge, Jessalyn Hedge, and Trenton Hedge; great-grandchildren: Liam Vinson, Addy Fuzzell, Ryatt Fuzzell, and Rosie Fuzzell.

A Celebration of Life for Thomas will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 11, 2023, at Life Church of Columbia.
