Thomas “Pappy” Williams, 92, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2025. A lifelong resident of Mansfield, Thomas was born there on October 6, 1932, to Tommy and Ethel Williams.
A proud graduate of Mansfield High School, Thomas began his working life as a dairyman before embarking on a long and dedicated career as an Ion Exchange Operator at General Dynamics—now known as Lockheed Martin. His work ethic and commitment were hallmarks of his professional life.
Thomas served honorably in the Texas National Guard for three years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His service reflected the same values that guided him throughout his life: loyalty, trustworthiness, and kindness.
Faith played a central role in Thomas’s life. He was an active member and deacon at both New Hope Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Mansfield over the years. He contributed generously to church ministries, including Vacation Bible School and the Bus Ministry. In his later years, he found great purpose in helping distribute food weekly at the Bisbee Food Ministry.
Gardening brought Thomas much joy. He especially loved growing watermelons and cantaloupes, sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and neighbors alike. His green thumb was matched only by his generous spirit.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lenora Williams; his parents, Tommy and Ethel Williams; sisters Elizabeth Kline and Doris Williams; and son-in-law Allen Stahl.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Beverly Stahl; son Ken Williams and wife Derinda; grandchildren Kendra Duffy (Andrew), Kammie Taylor (Matt), Cory Stahl (Kelli), and LeAnn Offner (Bo), great grandchildren Kenley, Kyler, Brayden, Luke, Madison, Kelsey, Cayden, Ryder and Kason.
Thomas lived a Godly, joy-filled and contented life. May the memory of Thomas “Pappy” Williams bring comfort to all who knew him. A Visitation will be held on August 12, 2025, at 1pm at New Hope Baptist Church 6765 Dick Price Road followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2pm at the church. Interment will be at Hudson Cemetery at 7504 Hudson Cemetery Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060.
