Thomas K. Williamson, 78

Thomas "Tom" Williamson, of Blackfoot, ID, passed away on September 11, 2025, at the Idaho State Veterans' Home in Pocatello, ID. Tom was born January 26, 1947, in Pocatello, ID, to Lynn T. and Mary Jane "May" Williamson.

In 1959, the family moved to Sunnyvale, CA. Tom graduated from Sunnyvale High School in 1965. He enlisted in the Navy in May 1966 and was honorably discharged in September 1969. He served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam as part of the Seabees – Battalion 8 Construction Unit. The family returned to Pocatello in 1974, following Lynn's retirement. Tom worked for G&W Floors and Tuma Interiors as an installer of flooring, countertops, tile, etc. He received his machinist certificate from Idaho State University Vo-Tech in 1981 and worked as a machinist for 11 years in Ogden, UT. Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Idaho State University. He had an appreciation for architecture and admired the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Tom worked in the maintenance departments at Pocatello Regional Hospital and Bingham Memorial Hospital. He received his CNA certificate and worked as a psych tech at the State Hospital South in Blackfoot for eight years, retiring in 2012.

Tom was a true craftsman and enjoyed remodeling and finish work. He always had a home project going and enjoyed helping family with theirs. Tom's family loved him dearly, looked up to him as an amazing human, and will miss him always.

Tom is survived by his siblings, Scott L. (Bonnie) Williamson of Pocatello and Jan Williamson of Blackfoot. Nieces, Kimberly (Bryan Gee) Lloyd, Madeline Lloyd, and Katelyn Williamson. Nephews, Kenneth Lloyd and Jonah D. Lloyd (Father of Kenneth and Madeline).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn T. and May Williamson, Nephew Scott T. Williamson, and Scott T.'s wife, Kelly Williamson (Parents of Katelyn Williamson). Grandparents Joseph and Mary Hastie, and Thomas G. and Velma Williamson.

Services are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Blackfoot.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at the Idaho State Veterans' Home in Pocatello. Although Tom was only with you for a short time, the loving care you provided him greatly surpassed our expectations.
