Thomas is one of the greatest people I have met in my lifetime. I didn't get to be around him for vary long but for the last 2 to 3 years he was the greatest to be around. I loved listening to his stories no matter how many times they were told to me. I loved the various things that he taught me and the different ways he taught me to do things I may have already known. I enjoyed the time that I got to spend with him going to get plants for the huge garden we made and tending to the garden as well. I loved that he gave my son Brady and I the chance to hunt, fish, and help out around the farm/property with him. I was in a very dark place dealing with PTSD issues from my time in service when I met Thomas. I do believe he is the very reason I came back around and learned how to deal with life again. Some times we would be out on the farm for hours just talking about anything. We would talk and tell stories about our time in service and what we do to deal with our own issues. Thomas felt like a grandfather to me or family if anything. He was the most caring and giving to others so long as they didn't make him feel otherwise. I will greatly miss my time with Mr. Tom as my son would call him. Brady will miss you greatly too kind sir. Until we meet again, very much love and respect from my family. Our prayers will be with you and your family. I will be smiling and laughing thinking about all the stuff you said or told us.
