Thomas “Tom” Dean Yeager, age 83, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away August 19, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to Thomas Dorsey Yeager and Forrest Rose Yeager.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at12:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109. Honoring Thomas as pallbearers will be Dany Foss, Jeff Harm, Devon Harm, Patrick Yeager, Joel Kocinsky, Rooselvelt Thoms, Jim Jones, and Joe Benoit.
Thomas was a dedicated Air Force Master Sergeant and skilled professional jet pilot who served his country with honor. In addition to his military career, Thomas served on the board of his Homeowners Association, where he was known for his leadership and dedication to his community. He approached every chapter of his life with determination and drive, guided by a passion for service and a heart that gave freely to others. While Thomas achieved great success in his aviation career, both in the military and civilian sectors, his greatest pride and joy came from being a father to his four daughters.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Yeager. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Wade Yeager; daughters, DeeAnn Yeager Harm, Rebecca Yeager, Kristine Neal, and Katherine Koncinsky; grandchildren, Devon Yeager, Allen J. Harm, Bobby Jo Yeager, Amanda Rivers, Ashley Fort, Austin Brown, Brooklyn Neal, Aiden Koncinsky, and Tatum Koncinsky; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Janice Bair; and cousin, Jean Craig.
