Thomasina Johnson Obituary
Thomasina attended the public schools of Robeson County and graduated from J.H. Hayswood High School in 1962. After high school, she and her family lived in Germany and Pittsburgh, PA before moving back to Lumberton, NC.
Thom joined Sandy Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She loved travelling with the Sandy Grove Gospel Choir, spreading the good news of God through song. She also served on the Usher Board. In recent years, she wasn't always able to be physically present at church, however, she was a faithful member via Facebook. She loved her God. Her real passion was to get up early in the morning to sit on her front porch with a cup of coffee with friends and family at her side.
Thom was preceded in death by her siblings Jerrie Caulder, Ruby Jerald, Will Avery Jones and Cynthia Johnson.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her three sons Clifton (Roslyn) Johnson, Aubrey (Inky) Johnson, Fredrick (Derrica) Johnson and two daughters Anissa (Christopher) Johnson-Mitchell, Janet L. Johnson; 10 grandchildren including Jaden Johnson (who she helped raise), and several great grandchildren; special nephews Joseph Smith and the late William (Peanut) Taylor; a special niece Danna (Bobbie) Brown, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
