Thurman Carl Wright, age 82, of Berlin Heights, died Friday morning at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. He was born on January 31, 1927 in Coffee County TN and has lived in this area for most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army. He farmed and also had worked for Wagner Quarry in Sandusky and the former Agway in Huron. He was a member of the Berlin Heights Congregational Church, Berlin Heights American Legion, and the Hilltop Farm Bureau Council. He loved taking care of his yard and flower beds and reading western novels. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Martha (Hahn), his children Bruce (Patricia) Wright, of LeCenter, MN, Carla Bottiglier, of Aurora, IL, Paula Hartley, of Sandusky, Amy (James) Wright-Jackson, of Louisville, CO, ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters Edna Wurtz, of Findlay, Edith (Homer) Dalton ,of Wakeman, a brother Harry Wright, of Huron, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry E. and Edith M. (Leek) Wright, two children Rebecca Wright and Constance Baatz, one great-grandchild, Rachel Boyett, brothers Eugene and Clifton, and a sister Virginia. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the Berlin Heights Congregational Church. Reverend Joyce Schroer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights. Online condolences may be left at www.mormanfh.com Memorial contributions may be made to the Berlin Heights Congregational Church or Firelands Habitat for Humanity.
