Tilden is survived by his wife, Susanna Porcupine of Oglala, SD; his sister, Leah of Omaha, NE; his brother, Eddie Short Bull of Oglala, SD; daughters, Megan Blue Bird of Rapid City, SD, Eva Sutton of Cheyenne Creek, Jessie Sutton of Pine Ridge, SD, and Joann Sutton of Pine Ridge, SD; sons, Xavier Running Bear of Oglala, SD, James " Lil Doo Doo" Sutton of Oglala SD, and Michael Starr of Oglala, SD; grandchildren, Susanna Sutton II of Oglala, SD, Angelica Aguilar and Amberly Sutton both of Cheyenne Creek; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Tilden was preceded in death by his father, Gilmore Porcupine; and his mother, Lucille Red Paint.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Belt, Eva Sutton, Jordan Running Bear, Xavier Running Bear, Jacoby Eagle Bull, Jaxson Eagle Bull, Deon Iron Teeth, and Gabriel Andres.
Honorary Pallbearers will be OD Garnier, Bryan Featherman, Daryl Pipe On Head, Travis Bagola, Jessie Sutton, Merton Belt, Perry Crow, Travis Pipe On Head, William Makes Him First, Doyle Bad Heart Bull, Cissie Sutton, Nancy White Eyes & Family, David "Skins" He Crow, George Red Feather, Zandra Running Bear, Kazadi Makoma, Abe & Lou & Family, Elderly Care Giver Meals, and All Family and Friends.
Wake Services: Two night wake services will start at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall near Oglala, SD, with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
Funeral Services: 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall near Oglala, SD.
Officiating: Pastor Asa Wilson and The Rev. Harold Eagle Bull
Burial Services: Cremation to follow services
Arrangements entrusted with the Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD
