SWANSBORO - Timothy "Tim" Paul Jackson, 63, of Swansboro, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Crystal Coast Hospice House after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Cape Carteret Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Clubb officiating.
Mr. Jackson was born March 31,1961 at Elizabethtown, KY to the late Paul Nash and Anne Kinlaw Jackson.
Tim was a loving faithful husband, father, and man of God who loved to assist clients with their mortgage needs and loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Tim loved God, his family and his community. He was a life-long UNC Tarheel basketball fan, as well as an athlete himself, excelling at any sport he was involved in. He often served his neighbors, as well as in various activities in Church, and in the community. He also had a passion for golf, once playing Pebble Beach. Tim was a grill master, who became locally famous for his weekly "Pig Report". In his work, he was a highly experienced Mortgage Loan officer who had passion for serving our veteran community. He took delight in helping people, whether it be with a mortgage, providing security at Teen Community Bible Study, or mowing a lawn for a neighbor.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Dodd Jackson of the home; son, David Jackson (Annabelle) of Stella; and sister, Stephanie King (Daniel) of Garner.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to organizations Tim cared about and supported, such as Backpack Friends, Teen Community Bible Study, Tunnels to Towers, The First Tee Program and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
