Tim Lamando

Timothy Lamando, known fondly as Tim, was born in Port Jervis, New York, on June 15, 1979. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Campbell (Becky), on June 14, 2019, in Houston, Texas. Tim attended Eldred Central High School in Eldred, NY, and the University of Houston in Houston, TX, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

Tim worked for 26 years as a personal trainer at The Houstonian Club. He was a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Powerlifting Club Coach. He formerly set official Texas state powerlifting records in the Junior, Open, and Masters Divisions in multiple weight classes, was the Texas state champion, and was ranked #2 in national competition. Tim loved spending time with his family, swimming, biking, playing at the park, eating barbecue and Mexican food, and cheering on U of H football and basketball. Tim was an amateur ophiologist (snake expert), capturing, raising, and studying venomous and non-venomous snakes. He loved fishing with his dad and son.

He is survived by his parents, Fred and Connie Lamando; son, Levi Lamando; wife, Becky Lamando; brother, Justin Lamando; sister-in-law, Renee Lamando; niece and nephews, Tyler, Natalie, Gavin Lamando, and Zachary Tripp; and stepchildren, Sidney, Chloe, and Pierce Candela.

Funeral services will be held on January 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with visitation at 9:00 AM, at Katy First United Methodist Church, 5601 5th Street, Katy, TX.
