Robert “Tim” Timothy Slowey, age 76 of Westfield passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his home. Tim was born in Portage on March 31, 1949 the son of Robert and Julianne (Byrne) Slowey. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1967 and returned to the family farm on Russell Flats. Tim married Susan “Sue” Lyon on September 28, 1968 and together they were blessed with three children.
Tim was proud to work alongside his family, building Slowey Farms into what it is today. He was an avid hunter and always looked forward to being around his friends at his beloved Toy Shed. He will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor and work hard, play hard attitude.
Tim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue and three children: Paul, Alby (Dawn) and Samantha Slowey all of Westfield as well as five grandchildren: Justin (Kirsten), Nathan, Hannah (Geno), Peyton and Alex (Matilda) and four great-grandchildren: Briggs, Giovanni, Ruth and Lucy. He is further survived by three sisters: Sue Stenzel, Kay (Gary) Nigbor and Joan (Bill) McCartney, brother-in-law, Roger Reetz, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws: Fred and Leila Lyon, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Roy Stenzel, Barb (Bud) Imm, Charlene (Jim) Marquardt, Kay Reetz, Tom (Teri) Lyon, Jeanne (Terry) Bengsch, niece, Tiffany Jolicoeur and nephew, Micheal Imm.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Oxford VFW. Tim will be privately laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Town of Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Tim’s name to fight Parkinson’s Disease.
The family would like to thank Kelsey Borzick, Lindsay Patten, Diane Boycks, Alison Huber, Lauren Heinemeier, Kate Nelson and St. Croix Hospice for all their care and support.
