Tracee
Betty and I want to add our condolences. I had met up with Debra and George Thornton and they gave me the sad news. I was shocked. Tim was one of the nicest people I had ever met, always with a smile. I remember the time I came to Melbourne and you guys took me around. We rode bicycles out to the beach and played euchre all night. He touched a lot of people with his energy and positive outlook. You couldn't get him down. If you get down our way, please let us know. It would be good to catch up. Muito triste David & Betty

Dearest Tracee and Brooklyn,
Please accept our condolences. We were so sorry and shocked to hear of Tim's passing. Our family remembered Tim fondly as a funny and kind man who enjoyed lemon meringue pie. We remembered his kindness and his faithfulness to God. He will be missed. We will keep the both of you in our prayers asking for Him to give you strength and courage as you walk through this valley.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Veenstra family . I knew Jan and her "boys" through Park Flowers & Gifts on Grindley Park. They were customers for many years and I have very fond memories of making their flowers for various dances during their high school years. The most polite and kind familly. Tim brought enthusiasm and a positive approach to all issues at Ford... big or small. He maintained that same positive outlook when sharing the news of his condition with his colleagues... he had a plan (God's plan) and would follow it. It was clear that his faith and family were his source of strength in dealing with his illness. The strength and the positive mindset Tim exemplified in the face of battling his disease is something I am taking forward with me to deal with life ups and downs big or small. May the Lord's Peace be with his family.

I will always remember Tim with a large smile in his face, with always something nice to say, even when the days were not that nice. As in 2 Timothy 4:7 (so appropriate, Timothy), I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. That's what he did. We might not see your smile here anymore, but your example of kindness and faith, and your testimony will forever be encouraging us to keep fighting the good fight too. May the Lord receive you with arms open wide, my friend!

Tracee, Brooklyn and other family members...so very sad to hear about Tim's passing. We know, however, that he is now in a better place and without pain and suffering. He is probably up in Heaven right now taking pictures and making scrapbooks of his adventures anxiously awaiting the day we will join him. That is some of my fondest memories of Tim...the Saturday nights we would come to the house in Flowers Creek for the Scrapbook parties and he would always carry ALL of my bags up and down the stairs. He never complained about it either. He was always smiling and just an all around nice guy. It was a pleasure knowing him and he will be missed. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family during this very sad time. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

My prayers are with you, Tim was a great man and will be rewarded in Heaven. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them. Revelation 14:13

To Tim's family, words can hardly express the depth of feeling felt by his friends here at Ford. He was a deeply caring man, who made it a mission of his to get to know and to help people who worked for and near him. Tim has made a dramatic impact on so many lives as few people ever could.
I've known Tim for almost 20 years as one of the most positive, enthusiastic and inspiring leaders with whom I have ever had the pleasure of working. In this time of sorrow, we have been hearing from his colleagues, not just in Dearborn, but in Brazil and Australia, of how much Tim has touched their lives, how much he has meant to them.
In losing Tim, we have lost so, so much. We can only hope that you might find some solace in hearing of all that Tim has done to deeply affect the lives of so many people. Our hearts go out to you.

Dearest Tracee and Brooklyn, our most sincerest condolences to you and your family. Tim was larger than life, and had such a wonderful and kind personality that touched so many. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

I met Tim a few years ago as a UAW Representative. We were to work together to bring in export work from the docks. Tim really impressed me in that sometimes, to be honest, we don't get too much help from our Ford counterparts. Tim was true to his word and helped us working together to bring in numerous work that used to be sent out to the docks. You may think this is a strange comment, but I just want you to know that Tim was a good man, an honest man who had integrity and did what was right at work. As a UAW member, I was glad to get to know Tim, to work with him and to call him my friend. I'll miss Tim, but will see him again in Heaven.

My deepest sympathies to Tim's family and friends. His passing leaves an irreplaceable gap in this world. I worked with Tim over many years and he always had time for a chat and a joke..alongside hard and committed work. His enthusiasm, energy, intelligence and insight are traits I will never forget. I will miss him, but I am sure we will all remember him forever as the great guy that he was.

I have known Tim since I was a young child, when he and his brother Mike used to mow our lawn at 22324 Nowlin St. Tim used to always take the time to stop and teach me about what he was doing with the mower and talk about their successful business. Fast Forward to 30 years later and I had the great opportunity to work with Tim at Ford and learn from him again on product programs. I miss his Thursday afternoon meetings and his passion for helping us all grow. Our deepest condolences and prayers to the family.

My special sympathy to Tim's mother, Jan. As parents we expect our children to mourn our death, not to endure the loss of a child. Having left Dearborn and the Detroit area twenty years ago, I was not aware of Tim's illness. Praise be to God for Tim's beautiful testimony to the grace he experienced.

Tracee, Brooklyn and family, our deepest and sincerest condolences, our thoughts and prayer are with you. I've known Tim for 16 years since our days of working together for 4 years on the Escape/Tribute program. I will always remember his optimism, professionalism and infectious smile. Although I currently live in China, every time I visited Dearborn, I would stop by to say hello to him and sometimes for lunch. He supported me during my battle with this same terrible disease. When I finished my treatment and right before I was about to return to China, he gave me a framed well wish sign with a Block M that says "Ben Kuo beat cancer 2013". This sign has been sitting on my desk at home ever since. This shows the type of kind and caring person he was.

I got to know Tim in the last 5 years when I came out of retirement. I had multiple one-on-one discussions with him over that period of time. He was a genuine, down to earth, all around good person. I always enjoyed our chats. He was always pleasant and made you feel appreciated. I will miss Tim. I am in South Carolina and cannot be there in person but my prayers go out to Tracee and Brooklyn during these dark and difficult days. I know Tim is looking down on all of us.

Tim was an energetic and kind friend. He was always looking at the bright side of every issue and was never one to grab or hoard attention for himself. That he should be taken from this world so soon is a tragedy to all of us. My family and I extend all of best prayers and hopes to Tracee and Brooklyn as they carry on in the future. At times like this I think about what my mother said when her mother passed away "we shouldn't think about what we lost, we should think about the what we gained."

Tim was an extraordinary man. There are many at Ford Motor Company who will deeply mourn his passing as his was a life of service, love, compassion and excellence. May he rest in peace. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

To the Family of Tim Veenstra - My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to you during this time of great sorrow and grief. I have been praying for Tim and the entire family for months. And while no words can provide much comfort at times like these, my prayer is that the God of all comfort, who is rich in mercy and is holding Tim in His loving arms right now, will grant you peace and hope for an eternal future with Him where you will be reunited with Tim in a place of perfect love and harmony!

We are filled with sorrow for us remaining behind, but we are overjoyed in knowing that Tim is with our Almighty Father and Jesus Christ this very day glorifying them from now through eternity. Tim fought the good fight and finished well. Our prayers to Tracee and Brooklyn as you go through this valley. We know our good, good Father has a master plan for you both and it will be for His glory. Love you both.
