MR. TIMMY "TIM" STEED

MR. TIMMY "TIM" STEED, age 54, of 500 Mendel Avenue-Apt. 409, Thomson, GA passed on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at his residence. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM, Thomson, GA oversees all arrangements.

MR. TIMMY "TIM" STEED, SR., age 54 was born on Monday, December 14, 1970, in Augusta, GA to both the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie Louis (Carolyn Hammond) Steed. "Tim" as he was loving called, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at his residence.

Growing up in Harlem, GA, Tim received his education by attending the public school system of Columbia County. He was a 1989 graduate of the Harlem High School in Harlem, GA. After graduating, he enlisted in the military, serving faithfully in the United State Army over 13 years until he was medically discharged. Never a stranger to hard work, Tim was employed with New Life Burial Vault Company of Augusta, GA. He served as a former umpire for the Thomson-McDuffie County Recreation & Leisure Services Department for many years.

Early on during his childhood years, Tim joined the Cobb Grove Baptist Church of Harlem, GA. After relocating to Thomson, GA, he joined the Springfield Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Frederick David Favors.

In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by a son, Marquis Harris, a stepdaughter, Christy Lazenby, and his twin brother, Tommy Steed. As we bid him farewell, we shall hold dear to our hearts the best of times. Until we meet again our beloved Timmy "Tim" Steed will be profoundly missed yet forever remembered with much love and admiration.

He leaves behind dear loved ones to forever remember the best of times: a loving and devoted wife, Joanna Few Steed of Thomson, GA; two daughters, Whitney White of Mexico and Timiya Steed of Aiken, SC; two sons, Timothy White of Mexico and Timmy, Jr. (Olivia) Steed of Thomson, GA; one granddaughter; two sisters, Carolyn Elaine Steed and Velma Onita Steed, both of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Vernon (Capricia) Steed of Las Vegas, NV, Weldon (Ramona) Steed of Macon, GA, Charles Steed of Augusta, GA and Ernest (Katie) Hammond of Mitchellville, MD; a mother-in-law, Linda Few of Thomson, GA; a father-in-law, Joseph Few of Thomson, GA; two additional sisters-in-law, Juwanna Few and Priscilla Steed; four brothers-in-law, Antwan Wilkins, Joseph (Crystal) Few, Demetrius Few and Fred Jennings; four special friends, Shawn Stapleton, Victor Franklin, Andre Moss and Wayne Mincey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many additional friends.
