Timotea " Timo" Rivera passed away peacefully on May 18,2024 at the age of 84.
Veiwing for Timotea Rivera will be held May 20,2024 from 12-7pm at Heritage Funeral home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main Street, Fort Stockton, Texas 79735 with Rosary to follow at 7pm. Funeral Service will be May 21,2024 at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 403 S.Main St., Fort Stockton, Texas. With Burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
Timotea “Timo” Rivera was born in Boquillas Del Carmen to Manuela and Telésforo Rivera on December 19,1939. Later She moved to Fort Stockton where she worked at The Steakhouse for many years until she retired. Everyone who knew Timotea knew they could count on fresh tortillas at her home, and she loved having company over for lunch. Timotea was known for her delicious empanadas and tamales She simply loved cooking for other, she never turned anyone away. She loved to crochet and sew. She made many blankets for her loved ones and Her door was open for everyone. Greeting her in heaven are her parents Manuela and Telésforo, her sisters Antonia, Celestina, Magdalena, her brothers Urbano, Esa, Leandro, Rafael, Nephew Miguel (Hippy). Timotea is survived by her children Rene Castillo (Araceli) and Efrain Rivera (Taly). Grandchildren Erik Castillo, Bianca Ramos (Paco), Magdalena Ibanez (Danny), Hilda Salinas (Isael), Efraín Rivera Jr., Esàh Rivera. Great grandchildren Marissa Castillo,Melanie Castillo, Mercedez Ramos, Francisco Ramos 3rd, Alexia Castillo, Zane Castillo, Kade Castillo, Alyssa Ibanez, Kylie Ibanez, Dominic Ibanez, Jaylynn Ibanez, Janessa Salinas, Josiah Salinas, Alaia Silvas, Sylus Cisneros.
Honorary Pallbearers: Efrain Rivera Jr., Miguel Rivera, Urbano Rivera, Erik Castillo, Paco Ramos, Juan Rivera.
Heavenly Father, we come to you today to remember and honor our beloved Timo. We thank you for the time we were able to spend with her and for all the love and memories she left with us. We pray that she is at peace and experiencing the fullness of joy in your presence.
