Timothy Charles Beres, 67, of Greenville, PA, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, surrounded by many of his loved ones.

Tim was born in Greenville, PA on June 10, 1957, the only and cherished child of Charles "Chuck" and Florence "Flo" (Bestwick) Beres.

Tim worked as a skilled metallurgist with ELG Haniel Metals for 33 years, prior to retiring in June 2022. He was a hard worker, and self-sufficient, never wanting to ask others for help, but always willing to lend a helping hand himself. Tim had a close relationship with his parents, and had a very special bond with his mother, residing with her throughout his life. He was talented, musically, and loved "pickin' and grinnin'," while playing the bass with his fellow music-loving friends. Tim loved hunting and fishing, as well as taking meticulous care of his lawn. He was a beloved husband, son, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, whose resilience and devotion to his family, left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

In the face of tremendous health challenges, Tim demonstrated unwavering courage, battling and overcoming multiple cancers – including Stage 4 lung cancer – over the last four years. His strength and perseverance remain an inspiration to all who knew him.

Tim will be remembered for his quiet strength, his quick wit, his deep love for his family, and his enduring spirit.

Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Yvonne (Leslie) Beres, with whom he was blessed to share many years of love and laughter. They were married on May 22, 1999. He swept her off her feet with violets and slow dancing to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight." Tim and Yvonne adored each other deeply, and their children called theirs "one of the greatest love stories of all time." Tim often affectionately referred to Yvonne as "the love of his life," and she truly felt the same way about him.

In addition to Yvonne, Tim is survived by his mother, Flo; his stepchildren, Kenneth (Carla) Royer, of Greenville, PA, Kristofer (Leslie) Royer, of Phoenix, AZ, Kurtis (Lisa) Royer, of Arcadia, CA, Keisha (George) Hunt, of San Tan Valley, AZ, 6 grandchildren, Austin, Haleigh, Kenny, Keirsten, Makenna, and Kora; 2 great-grandchildren; and many loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Chuck, and by his step-daughter, Kenzie Royer.

Calling hours will be held at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home in Greenville, PA, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 6 - 7 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kenzie Royer Spirit Award, care of The Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania.
