Timothy Kevin Broderick, known affectionately as Tim to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home on January 21, 2026, in
Louisburg, North Carolina. Tim was born on November 10, 1960, in
Tarrytown, New York, to the late James and Anne Broderick.
Born in Tarrytown, Tim was raised in
Carmel, NY where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of dedication and service. After graduating from Western Connecticut State University, he embarked on a career that showcased his exceptional talent as a salesman. His charismatic personality and genuine care for others made him a natural at his craft, often humorously noted for his ability to "sell ice to an Eskimo."
His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life. Tim was a proud veteran, having served as an HM3 Corpsman with the 2D Marine Division FMF based in Camp Lejeune. His time in Beirut, Lebanon, as a combat veteran, was a testament to his bravery and dedication to his country. Tim's military decorations, including the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal, .45 Cal Pistol Sharpshooter, Good Conduct Award, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, spoke volumes of his valor and commitment.
Beyond his military and professional achievements, Tim was a man of many passions. A rescue beagle enthusiast, he found joy in the companionship of his beloved dogs. His pride as a member of the United States Military was matched only by his love for woodworking, where he crafted pieces that were as functional as they were beautiful. A die-hard Mets and Giants fan, Tim's loyalty to his teams was unwavering, and game days were always a special occasion in the Broderick household.
Tim's prowess in the kitchen earned him the title of master chef among his friends and family. His dishes were not only a treat to the taste buds but also a medium through which he expressed his love and care. The same hands that skillfully crafted woodworks also prepared meals that brought comfort and joy to those he cherished.
Above all, Tim was a loving husband to his wife of 43 years, Dolores Broderick, and a devoted father to his son, James Broderick, and his wife Jennifer, and his daughter, Danielle Broderick, and his brother Jimmy Broderick. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Daniel Broderick.
Those who knew Tim would describe him as loving, thoughtful, and kind. He was a man who always went out of his way to help his fellow man, whether it was through a listening ear, a helping hand, or a warm meal. His legacy is one of love, service, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
A memorial service will be held at Woodland Baptist Church on February 14, 2026 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tim's memory to Triangle Beagle Rescue, www.tribeagles.org.
