With both profound sorrow and deep gratitude, we share that our beloved Timothy "Tim" Carlson, 61, of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, ran into the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2025, hand in hand with his wife by his side in the peace of their home. While our hearts ache with the weight of this loss, we also rejoice in the promise of eternity and celebrate a life that brought immeasurable love, laughter, and light to all who were blessed to know him. We rejoice that he is now made whole, with a new body-completely free of Multiple Myeloma. Though cancer challenged his body, his spirit remained undefeated-a testament to his strength and grace. He completed his race with endurance and finished strong, victorious in character and faith. He faced every day with quiet courage, never missing an opportunity to motivate others. He wore many titles-husband, father, son, friend, coach, Marine-but most importantly, he was a faithful follower of Jesus. With resilient determination and bold endurance, he led by doing-conquering Ironman races, marathons, and CrossFit events, even throughout his illness-proving that the human spirit is capable of extraordinary things. Tim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and had a 30-year career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, with his final assignment as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. In retirement, he fulfilled his true passion for health and fitness by opening BodyworX Studio 912-a space where he touched countless lives through encouragement, discipline, and purposeful leadership. Left in the care of his heart is his wife, Amber-his constant companion in chasing goals and making memories. His legacy lives on in his adult children, Blake (Jenn) Carlson and Danielle (Brock) Parker, who carry forward his strength and love in their own lives and families. The sorrow of this farewell is deep, but so too is the joy of having loved and been loved by someone as remarkable and inspiring as Tim. Visitation will be held Monday, June 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Simons Community Church.
