Timothy Karl Conover, 72, of Macon, MO, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his home.

Tim was born on April 29, 1953, in Colorado Springs, CO, the son of Karl Maggard Conover and Martha Costance (Gostomski) Conover. He was united in marriage to Clara Sue Lee on March 27, 1993 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Macon, MO.

Tim spent many years as a truck driver and working for the Missouri Department of Transportation but one of his passions was farming and raising cattle. He enjoyed traveling, was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the RCIA Team, an active member in the church, was a huge GreenBay Packers fan, and adored spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Conover of the home; one son, Rick Smith and his wife Anna of Macon; two grandchildren, Zach (Katie) Smith of Minooka, IL, Natalie (Deric) Basler of Macon, MO; two great grandchildren, Stella Marie and Nelson Wayne; two sisters, Tricia Horst and Ellen Kratz; two brothers, Jim Conover and Chris Conover; and other extended family.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, MO, with Father Bill Peckman officiating. A private family burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Macon at a later date. Visitation will be 9:00 am, Thursday, until the time of Mass, at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Immaculate Conception Church or the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
