Paul was born on July 6, 1946, in Washington, D.C., the son of Oliver Paul Reed, Sr., and Kathleen Ann (Murphy) Reed. On January 17, 1985, he was united in marriage to Vera Faye Bulen in Raytown, MO, and together they shared 40 years.
Paul spent many years on the open road as an over-the-road semi-truck driver, finding pride and purpose in the miles he traveled. He had a deep love for country and western music and could often be found on the dance floor. He enjoyed fishing, crafting projects in his woodworking and electrical shop, and working on vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Reed of the home; two brothers; two sisters; and other extended family members.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his son, John Paul Reed.
Memorial Graveside Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, August 25, 2025 at the New Cambria Cemetery in New Cambria, MO.
The family suggests memorials to the New Cambria Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
