Timothy Patrick Decker

Timothy Patrick Decker was born on May 6, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to Patrick and Judith Decker. He grew up in Madison Heights, MI. He felt most at home in Lake Orion, out on his boat with the wind in his hair. Tim was a lifelong Michigander with a laugh you could hear across the room.
Tim passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 68.
He was the devoted husband of Sandra Decker and the fiercely loving father of Sarah (Tyler) Doll and Ashley Decker. He was the beloved brother of Daniel (Patricia) Decker, Mark (Anne) Decker, Pamela (Simon) Decker, Tom (Betsy) Decker, and Patrick (Kelly) Decker, and the larger-than-life uncle. A loyal friend to many, Tim was known for his quick wit, big heart, and unwavering reliability.
Tim retired from the Chrysler Warren Stamping Plant after 32 years as a proud toolmaker with UAW Local 869. He carried that same craftsmanship, grit, and good humor into his everyday life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Judith Decker, and is survived by a large and loving community of family and friends who will forever miss his big personality, and the unmistakable spark he brought to every moment.
A memorial service will be held at Modetz Funeral Home, (100 E Silverbell Road, Orion, MI 48359), on December 20, 2025. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
