Timothy "Tim" Jay Dee, age 70, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by family on October 14, 2025.

Tim was a magnetic force. People gravitated toward him, and he welcomed them all with open arms. He was compassionate, loving, caring, attentive, and absolutely hilarious. If you were around Tim, you were guaranteed to laugh because he always had a story to tell and a way of making everyone feel like family.

In his 70 years, Tim was so many things to so many people - a son, brother, husband, dad, papa, uncle, and friend. He truly had a heart of gold, always looking out for others, lending a listening ear, or offering a hug when you needed it most. Tim wasn't just present; he was fully present - 100% of the time. He didn't just live for his own happiness but for the happiness of everyone around him.

Born June 4, 1955, in Rochester, Minnesota, to John and Helen (Cassidy) Dee, Tim graduated from Mayo High School in 1973. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Coreman 2nd Class HM2 from 1973 to 1977. Professionally, Tim owned TJ's Greendoor for 10 years, was a member of the Local 6 Pipefitters and Plumbers Union, and worked as a Project Manager.

Tim married the love of his life, Mary Dee (Stewart), on August 5, 1998, in Alaska. Together, they built a life full of laughter, adventure, and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Dee; his children, Travis Dee (Tammy), Shawn Lortscher (Sarah), Kalla Evans, Drew Evans (Laura); siblings, Mike Dee (Pat) and Jerry Dee (Karen); special nephew, Josh Streich; 12 grandchildren - Mallory Dee, Payyton Dee, Owen Evans, Barrett Evans, Anna Cochran, Abby Pashek, Ava Lortscher, Anna Johnson, Autumn Brown, Cejay Brown, Brody Zoller; one great-granddaughter, Noelle Cochran; and goddaughter, Briana Cassidy.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, John Dee; his mother, Helen Dee; his brother, Joe Dee; his sister, Linda Dee; and his beloved granddaughter, Evie Evans.

Tim loved people. He loved his family. He loved traveling, boating, riding his Harley Davidson, ATVing, telling a good story, staying busy, working with his hands, and helping others - always finding room for "just one more." He lived life big, loved even bigger, and leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

A celebration of life will be held from 12-4pm on Sunday, October 26th at Eagles Club in Rochester, with the Legion Honor Guard at 2pm. Memorials may be directed to the family.
