Even though we never actually had a class together, our labs were straight across from each other, so we would still see each other from time to time. We didn´t get to talk much during lab since I´m in criminal justice and he was in cyber security, but that made it even cooler in a way because we were both working toward what we truly loved. Every time we saw each other in the hallway or between periods, it was always a quick moment of respect, a nod, a laugh, or a short conversation that meant more than it probably looked like to anyone else. We were both passionate about our paths and excited for what the future held - me chasing criminal justice and him focused on cyber security. It was something we were proud of, something we talked about, and something we planned to turn into real careers one day. Sadly, Ben never got the chance to fully step into the future he worked toward and loved so much while he was here with us. That´s what makes it hurt, knowing how driven and capable he was. But I truly believe that just maybe, in heaven, he´s still doing what he loved most - learning, growing, and pursuing his passion. Timothy "Ben" Delk will always be remembered as a good friend, someone who stayed true to himself, and someone who had big goals and an even bigger heart.
