Doherty, age 44, beloved husband of Jennifer Jepsen; devoted father of Irene and Teri; cherished son of Mary and the late John Doherty of Greencastle, County Donegal, Ireland; dear son in law of Diane Jepsen; loving brother of John (Denise) Doherty, Liam (Sue) Doherty, Mary (James) Collins, Kathy (Barry) Doherty and Brian (Nicola) Doherty; loved nephew of Kathleen (Denis) Casey, Barbara (the late Chris) Nash and Michael (Sadie) Doherty of Donegal, Ireland; loving brother-in-law of Jason (Lauren) Jepsen, Keith (Melanie) Jepsen and Kristen Jepsen (Jim Frank); fond uncle and cousin of many. Preceded in death by his brother Terry Doherty, niece Meghan Collins, grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Visitation Friday, November 18, 2022, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 W Arthur Street, Elmhurst. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
