A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Reverend Eugene Bryson.
Tim was born August 19, 1960 to Robert Wayne Durr and Johnnye Faye Durr in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.
Tim worked in public accounting throughout his life. He worked for Cole, Evans, and Peterson beginning on August 24, 1981 and quickly excelled in his career. He became a partner at the firm on September 1, 1986, at the young age of 26, and he later became involved in staff recruiting, training and management for CEP. He loved being a part of CEP and became a mentor to many. Tim took great pride in his work and treated his clients as if they were extended family. Throughout his youth, he was an avid water skier, loved playing pickup basketball games, and enjoyed riding roller coasters. Most of all, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family--especially trips to the beach with his grandchildren. Even during trying times, he maintained his upbeat personality and positive outlook. In all aspects of life, Tim went above and beyond in meeting the needs of others, and his expertise and perceptive guidance will be missed by many.
He is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Nicole Durr and Amanda A’lese Durr and husband Kisan Parikh; grandchildren Ulysses S. Coleman IV, Timothy Minor Coleman, Rajleigh Faye Parikh; sister, Becky Durr and husband Mark Doughty; brother, Larry Durr; niece Christy Guenard and husband Trey Guenard; and nephew Wesley Dowden.

Tim was a life long family friend. His family grew up with my family. Tim was a great friend. Becky and I were good buddies and would have sleep overs. But I know Tim will always be greatly missed. He is in heaven now with the angels looking over his family and friends. Tim, make you rest in peace. Teresa Davis Turner

It´s been three weeks since I received the phone call that changed my world. If I had known that Friday would be the last time we would ever talk, I would have told you how much you meant to me, how much I respected and admired you, and that my life was better with you in it. Not a day goes by that I don´t think about you. But I know that we will see each other again. I miss you every minute of every day.

So sorry to hear about Tim passing. So sudden and to soon. I grew up with Tim, Becky and Larry. We lived on the same street. I always remember Tim as being funny, thoughtful, and always very kind to others. He always had a smile on his face and always knew how to make others smile. He is in heaven with the angels now and will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.
