Timothy M. Fish, 76, of Melrose passed away on Saturday September 6th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Salem to the late Frederick and Cynthia (Whittier) Fish, he was the beloved husband of Barbara Oder for 32 years.

Tim was born in Salem and grew up in Boston. He attended Boston Latin School and was a proud member of the class of 1966. Tim's lifelong interest in and passion was for the arts. He spent a year at Manhattan's School of Visual Arts studying with distinguished working artists. He completed his formal education in the arts at Boston University including a focus in computer science.

Tim spent many years as an admissions officer at Mass General Hospital before turning back to the arts. During these years he played the bass for Brookline Symphony Orchestra. He was a co-owner of Sight and Sound in Waltham and later he was an on-line resource for rare and unusual visual products.

Tim was a long-time member of Emmanuel Church in the City of Boston and a proud sponsor of Emmanuel Music. He also supported the Boston Symphony and The Metropolitan Opera in New York.

In addition to his wife, Tim leaves behind two stepsons, Terrence Oder and Patrick Oder; and three grandchildren Alex, Ethan and Sophia Oder. He will also be missed by his two first cousins, Tina Barter and Susan Trethaway; and Susan's sons and grandchildren.

In accordance with Timothy's wishes, his funeral services will be private. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held in late December. If you wish to make a tribute to Tim's memory, please send a donation to Emmanuel Music, 15 Newbury Street, Boston MA. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
