Herbert Greenberg

Herbert Greenberg, born October 4, 1934, in Everett, MA, passed away on February 28, 2026. Raised in Roxbury by his parents, Henry and Ruth, and his grandmother Ada Diamond. He graduated from Boston Latin School and Harvard University.

He has lived in Boston, California, New York, North Carolina, Illinois, Connecticut, Brussels, Belgium and Dexter, Maine. He traveled extensively throughout Europe and during his career as an Executive Search Consultant, he impacted the lives of many people.

After retiring, Herb settled in Dexter, Maine, where he enjoyed Kiwanis, duplicate bridge, and golf. He cherished his country and, above all, his family. He and his wife of 57 years, Barbara, had 5 children (in a blended family). His children, Michael, Walter, Laura Mitchell, Jennifer Cervac, and Henry. He loved all his children dearly and was proud to see them develop into decent adults with strong work ethics and a sense of right and wrong. He had five grandchildren: Jason Greenberg, Chris and Samantha Mitchell, and Nicholas and Jacqueline Cervac.

His life was exciting, rewarding, full and never boring. His one regret was that his father died young and didn't get to meet his wife, Barbara, and his children and grandchildren. He will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
