Timothy John Grimsley

Timothy John "Tim John" Grimsley, 63, of Sedalia, formerly Johnson County, KS, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2023. He was born on April 23, 1960, in Hannibal, NY, the son of Jack and Alfreda Grimsley (Millard) Jr., who preceded him in death.
On May 22, 2021, in Johnson County, KS, Tim was united in marriage to Robin Lynne Grimsley, who resides in the home. He enjoyed fishing, putzing around the house, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His smile was the most infectious, and he became friends with everyone he met.
In 1984, Tim John and Mary were married and had their youngest daughter in 1987. Mary had two previous children that Tim helped raise. They were married for 33 years until Mary passed in 2017. In 2021, Tim married Robin Lynne with son, Robert.
Tim John was raised in Upstate New York till he was 7. The family and Tim John moved to Detroit, MI, and stayed there till they moved to Kansas City when he was 12. Tim John attended High School at Shawnee Mission West and received his GED in 1978.
Besides his wife, Tim John is survived by a daughter, Jessica Grimsley (Devante Lovelady); a step-son, Robert Craft; two step-children, Robin Huffman (Jay) and Shane Bellington (Julie); son-in-love, David Price; adopted children, Courtney, Linda, Carissa and Autumn; grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsye, Ryan, Alyssa, Kala, Kyle, Kourtney, Kasey, Olivia, Precious, Raven, Mary'lyn and DJ; 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Grimsley (Rose); a sister, Jacqueline LeFort (Dick); sister-in-loves, Barbara Grimsley(Kelly Foster), Connie Casselberry(Denton), and Shelly Goul; and his beloved dog, Sebastian.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, with Visitation at 11:00 a.m. and the Memorial at 12:00 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, with pastor Aaron Roberts officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jay, Shane, Devante, David, Olivia, and DJ.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. The family requests live plants over flowers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
